This is from a Trudell family tree: Francis Trudell (non-Indian) married Mary Wamdisun (Iciyapewin). Their children are: Frank (Francis) Trudell, Jr who married Itekagewin and Wicinyan Maggie Tuttle. Joseph Trudell. Antoine Trudell who married Julia Bloodgood and Kate DeRoad. Henry Trudell who married Nancy Seward. Elizabeth Trudell. Peter Trudell who married Lizzie Kage. Levi Trudell who married Emily Colombe. I have not come across a Frank and Nancy, yet wazi

Frank was the son of Nancy and henry Trudell. He married Emma Deva , who was supposedly born in North Dakota, but I haven't had any luck with confirming this. They had the 3 daughters you mentioned in your earlier post and a son August. I do not know what happened to two of the daughters, but Mary was married at least twice, possible 3 times, and she died at Sisseton,SD. I am not sure, but she had at least 3 daughters and a son, who were removed from the home and adopted out when they were quite young. You can find out more from the one daughter, Maggie King,at this Email address: dakota_sioux_kunsi01@yahoo.com.

wazI: Look at the 1886 and 1889 mdewakanton censuses, and you will find this Nancy Trudell and her son Frank trudell. It is these two who sueoke is asking about. I have been told by some people that the Henry Trudell mentioned in one of those two censues was a brother of the Francis Trudell who married Mary Iciyapewin. But they have yet to provide documentation for this.

I got the information from the Trudell file in Flandreau. There is about 10 different family trees in the file regarding children and so forth on Francis and Mary. It states on the tree that Francis was a non Indian. It list their children as mixed bloods, half French. I just typed what I saw. Wazi

I have a big file on Francis and Mary 'Iciyapewin' Trudell's family. If you would like, I could try to email it to you. I has 69 pages. Let me know if you have enough space for it. I has a wealth of information on the Trudells and all their children. I will do this for anyone else that is interested. Thank you, marnie

marnie: thank you for your generous offer, but I think I already have it. i checked another family tree chart I received recently and for Peter Trudell's spouse, it lists lizzie Boyde Henry Kage born 1855 and married 1879.
wazi:I was referring to the Frank Trudell, son of Francis and Mary Iciyapewin, and the h/o Maggie Tuttle. According to those who knew him,he was Mulatto in color, and like his siblings, was a mixed blood. If you would be willing ts share it , I would appreciate a copy of the trees you are referring to.

Hi all I was just informed that Lizzie Trudell's mother was Jenny "Wakinyandutawin" and it was unknown who her father was. Does anyone have any information on this name. or possible father's name? possibly the Boyd or Kage name. I have Lizzie as being born at Crow Creek in 1866 then baptized at MMSavior in 1868 died 9-30-1916. Thanks again, marnie

Reg. Lrofilm) spouse #2: Louis Frenier married May 16, 1903 at Santee. I looked in vain at Ancestry.com a couple weeks ago for Lizzie Kage, elizabeth Kage, Lizzie Boyd and Elizabeth boyd, but got no hits.

Hi, just wondering if anyone has info on the Frank Trudell Family? He had 4 daughters 2 of them were married in MN. Sarah was married to Joesph Goodthunder,in Morton area so was Anna, her husband was Isaac Coursolle, they had a son named Earnest raymond Coursolle ,, also I might be linked thru George Lawrence, my father Earlwin Wilson's, father Louis Wilson's ,mother was Anna J Lawrence, her father was Thomas Lawrence, I did see a thomas Lawrence on the 1920 Neb. census he was living with his father George who was born in MN. around 1858, does this get any more confusing? Whew!!! anyway any help would be great. Thanks Theresa Wilson

sueoke: As for confused, it would be a tossup. here is what I haveon those names you tossed out: Anna J. Lawrence 2nd spouse of George H. Lawrence(Reference 1917 McLaughline Roll). George H. was the son of George G. Lawrence. George G. Lawrence is on the 1902 Reg. Santee Ind. Fam. at Age 43, married to spouse #2 angelique Baker. His parents ae listed as T__ankandepin9 hard to read), and Hapan. children: Moses, George, and Thomas george G.'s other spouses were Mary O. Johnson(married Dec. 1902 Santee), and Louisa Khune married Sept. 25, 1891 at Flandreau,SD. Isaac Coursolle was born 1899 and died 1980. his father was Joseph Oyekokipapi coursolle born 1852 and died 1939 and his 2nd spouse, Rose Prescott b. 1869. Isaac's siblings were Amos Coursolle, Jesse Magaret, and Cora Coursolle. Rose Prescott was the daughter of Louis Dumarce and spouse Margaret. Louis dumarce's father was Francoise Dumarce who died before 1855. Philander Prescott and his Indian spouse, who was Louis's aunt(her sister was the spouse of Francoise),adopted Louis and his name was changed to Louis Dumarce-Prescott. Anyway, Isaac Courolle's wife was Anna Trudell(born 1897). I have notheing at all on Earlwin Wilson and his kin.

Hi hermin1,my father said that his dad was Louis Wilson, Louis' mother was Anna J lawrence Wilson, Anna 's parents or father was Thomas lawrence , mother had a indian name, they wre both born in MN. found out that she was born in 1874, died in 1938, my dad is sending me the probate on Anna,my father lives in Sisseton,SD,I live in Norman OK. he just mailed that today,so it will be middle of next week before I get it. Also on my grandmother Rose Trudell Wilson, her sisters Sarah W Trudell Goodthunder, and Anna H Trudell Coursolle, both had their children baptised at St Cornelia in Morton, I have those cd's so I know for a fact that they were living there. Also where does a person locate land records? On the 1900 Indian census it said that Frank Trudell owned the land where they were living in Redwood Co. Also I have paper which has Mary, Rosia , Sarah and Anna all listed as having a money account at Wagner Agency, I called them with the number on there accounts, the lady said that the money went back to the tribe because they could not locate them in 1904, my grandmother was only about 5 or 6 then, so anyway, I found out that they were enrolled there, but got a run-around on trying to get any info from the tribe as to her files or probate records, hope someone can give me more ideas as where else to look, thanks for your help

sueoke, calm down and count to ten.all is not lost. If your dad mailed it this morning it will be there by Monday at the earliest, Tuesday at the latest. since you say you have these CD's is there a baptismal record for your grandmother's sister Mary Trudell on there, that you would be willing to send a copy of , to me? I will do some checking on the land records and get back to you.
