This is land that was taken back in 1859. Supposedly money was borrowed on it and not repaid. The sheriff took it back. The land was in Marshan, Minnesota. There were some other Grahams that received land at the same time.

hi wazi. no they aren't the same person, however they both may have had children with henry st. cloud. just one of the many theories being looked into. i know both names appear on the 1886 and 1889 census, so hopefully this disproves the theory that they are one and the same. they also both have different native american names.

Jackie, I have a Henry Standing Cloud on my family tree. He is listed as the husband of Otihiyayewin/Sarah. No last name for Sarah is listed. Henry is the son of Anpetuokiyewin and Watokoyamani. The Henry on my family tree also has the name of Mahpiyahdinajin. Not sure about the J in his name may be a Y? Let me know if you need any siblings or other info. mkitto I have a dear friend who is just beginning her work. She has all her records in order however doesn't know if she is connected. She said her great great grandfather was Maphiyanajin. What is the translation to Otihiyayewin? Did Henry Standing Cloud have more than one wife? wazi |

Oti means a house or dwelling. Hiyaye means movement of some type or going.

Has anyone found anything more on Sarah Standing CLoud or Sarah Graham? Are the the same person? I m looking for more info on her and her daughter (s) if . Has anyone heard of Oyedutawin?

I am also interested in receiving anything you may have on Sarah Standing or St. Cloud. Or Sarah Graham. More interested to find out if Sarah Graham is Sarah St. CLoud. Cant seem to find anything on Sarahs Mother father or family. I think she has a daughter Oyedutawin.

Based on my research, Sarah Graham and Sarah St. Cloud might have some mutual connections, but they do not seem to be the same person. They are both on the 1886 census. They have different Indian names. If anything, Sarah Graham might have a connection to Henry St. Cloud, husband of Sarah St. Cloud.
Which one are you trying to make a match with? I do have alot of info on Sarah Graham and have more being sent to me.
