::)Ellen (Stone) Tuttle had a brother charles Stone, and a sister Mary Stone, living with her, husband John aka Catan Tuttle, and other children(Ref. 1884 Santee Census). John died in 1891. The 1887 Santee Census lists Mary Stone as having died, Charles stone, and an aunt Alice Minitanka aka Tawiyake Age 57 in same household also.

I don't have my documents in front of me but Mary and Charles both died at a young age(teenage years). Alice is then found separate on later census records. Tatiyopawastewin is Ellen, Mary and Charles' mother she is reported to have passed away prior to 1897. Tahocokaduta died in prison in 1867 he was Ellen's father. I am not sure if Tatiyopawastewin remarried thus producing Mary and Charles.

I just realized this: if he was born in 1871 and died in 1891 wouldn't that make him 20? Wazi

by golly Wazi, you're right! In the 1884 Census Charles was 13 years old. Subtract 13 from 1884 and you get 1871. he was older than I thought when he died.

Alright in my continual struggle to find my Tuttle roots, I have come across something. The other day a relative of mine were talking on the phone. We are trying to figure out the relationship between Maggie "Tuttle" Trudell and John C. Tuttle. On several Santee census records Tunkannahowin or Tunkanwicahwin(Mary Tuttle) is listed with Isaac Tuttle, as his mother. On the 1902 Santee Family registry John and Isaac list their parents as Sbuwin and Oyeicasna. This is also on their baptismals. Louise Tuttle has the same information for parents. Now when it comes to Maggie her father is listed as Tateibobdu dead and Tunkanwicahwin dead. For sometime I have been thinking that Maggie Tuttle a sister to John, Isaac and Louise. I am a little confused, trying to decipher this.
If anyone can give me an objective view please do.

Julia Oldman was an only child of Mazaiyoptewin and Cantewanica. There were two other children in the home which they could have been children of Cantewanica from a prior marriage. Has anyone seen the names Ajhdunhdan or Wetecatawa before or know there english names by chance.
Thanks for your help.

Does any one know who the mother to Lizzie Brant is? She was one of the wifes to Tahocokaduta (son of Julia Olman). Also does anyone have information on any other marriages she may have had or possible other last names? Her Indian name was Minyokinyewin.
Thanks
Dawn
