I was wondering if anybody can tell me any information on Eunice Wilson? I'm especially interested in who her parents, and siblings were. Her Indian name, who she was married to, and any children she may have had. Thank-you for any help in my search!

allie: she is mentioned in the 1904 Henton report on land--- in the 4th section of sara's postings of the Henton report--on this site----it states that Eunice Wilson is deceased and that her land went to her uncle George Weston..... we have been wondering a lot about eunice wilson, too.....there are westons on our family tree, as well as wilson's.....
the only other time, as i remember at this moment, was on ancestry.com---- she was listed in a census ( MN) as canadian indian- 16- working for a farmer by the name of Titus. And it may not be the same eunice wilson.......
not much hlep, but that's all i have.......................

my family has some pictures of Eunice Wilson. She was half-sister to Sophia Hopkins.
Sophia married Joseph Rouillard. They were the parents of my grama Evelyn Rouillard.
I'm sorry I don't know much more about her, but I'll ask my aunt this weekend.

Did you find out anything more about Eunice Wilson from your Aunt? I was thinking she might be related to my gr. gr. grandfather John Wilson from over there.

kjames,re. Eunice Wilson's relationship to Sophia Hopkins, can you tell me who Sophia Hopkins' parents were? I have no record of a Sophia Hopkins in my records, in the Rouillards, nor do I have a record of a Joseph Rouillard with a spouse named Sophia Hopkins.
I woould appreciate any information you may provide on these names.

Evelyn Rouillard James' birth certificate lists Joseph Rouillard and Sophia Hopkins as her parents. I don't think I have any other information on Sophia, she's another one of those "who the heck are they" that my family tree seems to be full of...
I don't have my paperwork with me today, but I'll look at it tonight and see if I happen to have anything else.
I'll also talk to my aunt tonight and see what she knows about both Sophia & Eunice

Sophia Hopkins' parents were Moses Hopkins and Mary L. Wakana.
sophia was born 1894 at Santee and died1936 at Santee.

kjames is your aunt, Margaret (James)Breland? If so she hass a wealth of information on some of the Rouillards.

Yes, Margaret is my aunt.
After looking at my papers, I realized I skipped a generation earlier. Sorry about that.
Evelyn Rouillard James' parents are Sophia Hopkins and EDWARD Rouillard.
Edward is the son of Joseph H Rouillard.

One way you might find out is do a searchat Ancestry for each of Sophia Hopkins's parents. Eunice should show up on one of them if they shared a common parent.

If Eunice Wilson got married after that 1886 census then you may find yourself up that famous creek without a paddle if you try to find her at Ancestry.com under her maiden name.

This is the description I have on the picture of her...
"Sophia Hopkins Rouillard holding first born daughter
Evelyn Rose with Eunice Wakana Wilson (half-sister)"
Eunice's mother was Mary Wakana, sorry I've no idea who
her father is... As of this picture in 1915, I don't think she
was married.

Singsdakota, I ran across a family tree that had a George Weston listed. Not sure if it is the one you are looking for or not. It does not show his spouse or brother and sisters spouses, but possibly Eunice could be one of his sisters children. His sister was Masaschinawin. His brother was Henry Weston. Their parents were Taschlnasapawin and John Weston.

I ran across a Eunice Wilson married a Robert Wilson and they had a child names Ruth Eva Wilson. They were at Santee. I did not write down the date.
