wife-Elizabeth born Oct. 1845 Minn Age54 parents b. Minn.
son Moses born June 1875 Age 24 Mrried, born S. Dakota
Son-Joseph born Aug. 1879 Age 20 born So. Dakota.

If he was born in Minnesota, you must remember that the first Census for Minnesota Territory wasn't done until 1849.and in that census, they just totaled the Indians in the various settlements, without listing names.
