I was doing a search of some Microfilms from the Minn. State Historical Scoiety, and on one of them were the Annuity rolls for St. Peter's Agency from 1853-1860. Knowing that some of the people I was looking for were born at St. Peter's, I dug a little further, and sure enough, it turns out that the St.Peter's Agensy was located at Fort snelling. Some of the people we are loooking for were born/married/at the St. Peter's Agency. My questiiion is where can we find records of marriages, etc. for this Agency?

I'm told that the Minnesota State Historical Society has a wealth of those records. www.mshs.org

Hello
Did you Hear of a book the Dakota Indian Internment at Fort Snelling 1862-1864 by Corinne L Monjeau-Marz It just came out a couple of months ago it has a few pages of Natives who were baptised at the Fort before they left. You can get at the Historical society St Paul and at Snelling has lists of indians by bands listing heads of households and the men had to give up there wives and only keep one lots of helpful information
