I would just like to take a moment to thank everyone for the public and private messages of condolence regarding the passing of my Mother. Her funeral this last week, was a tremendous celebration of her life. My nieces and nephew sang and put together a power point program of pictures with a contemporary version of It IS Well With My Soul music in the background. The pastor preached a watereddown version of salvation, but it was there. My Mother always had a hat collection. So, we women chose one and wore it to the funeral in her honor. When the church ladies saw us with her hats, they got out their cameras and had great fun taking pictures to remember her and hats by! The church filmed the whole funeral and we will put together the film, power point and many pictures taken of friends and family on a disc for all family members to remember her by. Most importantly, I know that SHE would had a great time!
My condolences to the Blackhawk family, whose family member died in the bridge collapse. It was an incredible tragedy. As I was in MInnesota at the time, it was reported to be a combination of already documented structural defects, rain, surface road work(jackhammers) and the additional vibrations of a moving train that was going through at the time that it happened. Unfortunatelyy there are many more thousands of bridges that have documented damage and no federal money to repair them. Maybe our countries leaders need to reassess the importance of where our tax dollars are going. In my mind, you take care of your own first, then the rest of the world! Just my opinion, for what it is wroth!
Blessings and thanks to all!
