My Ancestor Pamani is married to Marpiyawastewin and they have a child Angelique that was 3 at the time of the census that was taken at the prisoner camp in 1862 I need help trying to find any information.
I don't know if this is the same Pamani as Frank Pamani (Hoots While Walking) DOB 1859 DOD 12/25/1924 that was married to Celeste blue Hair Woman in 1884 her DOB 1884 DOD 12/06/1938. Could this be his Father? Please Post. dreamerofspirits62@yahoo.com

I seriously doubt it.He was born after 1900. Your Pamani was born before 1863, according to your previous post in another seciton of this website. I already gave you hhat I had on the panomani that died in the prison. I strongly believe that your Pamani and the Ponamani that died in prison are one and the same person. I don't know how this Frank Pomani is related to your Pomani or Ponamani. You should check with the reservation where the census I got the info from, and see what their tribal office has on him.
_____ correction: I apologize for my error. please disegard the first paragraph.

Hermin1 I believe that Pamani//Panmani/Pomani/Ponomani/Pahmani/Pomni. I think they are all related or connected somehow so any information you can e-mail or snail mail me would be greatly appreciated. My Frank Pamani was born 1850 and died 12/25/1924 he married Celeste/Solice/Solesta in 1884 her Dakota name was (Hintowina) Blue Hair Woman and her maiden name was phelps she went to Hampton with Frank also. The information I have is that Frank Pamani's mother was Hapan/Hapanna (Second Daughter) she around1875. Frank Pamani had a sister named Weasel Woman. On different documents that I came across says that John Mosquito (Chaponka/Capon/Caponca was Franks father and another on e says Four Hand was his father. Another says that Bdoka/Mdoka/Mdokee/Bdcoka/Badonca washis father and thats where I got the Cuyciena/Kuciena. so I would say that I need a little help and would really appreciate it (ANYONE). I hope to hear from someone soon.Thanks.
