Jimmy these photographs are priceless. Look around the neck of Red Bird. Did you scan these yourself, and if possible can you email me a larger resolution of this one? Sure looks as if he has something resembling that artifact of mine around his neck. What do you think?
Anxiously I remain, Dark Wolfe

I certainly see the resemblance to your artifact. I got these pictures from the internet, so that is the best I have of it.

Thank you Jimmy. This is encouraging. Never in a million years did we think this could be identified. I wrote my cousin to see what the relatives might know.
With high hopes, DarkWolfe

...I got these pictures from the internet, so that is the best I have of it. I guess you did get them from the internet. This a series of photos, with the exact names and dates I put together, in order, and posted on another message board some time ago. I would not have minded for you to re-post them elsewhere, had you had the courtesy to ask first.

Hello hintamaheca and welcome to Oyate. We are always pleased to have new members. Regarding the photos which are posted here- Certainly you are aware that all of these photographs belong in the Public Domain. Nobody owns them, and in fact, all of these photos can be found on a number of web sites, historical societies, libraries, etc. You can only hold copyright on a photograph if you are the photographer yourself, and that does not seem likely. :-) Copyright runs out eventually, at which time photos and all other published material becomes public and it belongs to all of us. This is our history, and nobody owns it. It is something we share. Jimmy did not need to seek your permission for anything. These photos belong to him as much as they belong to you. I hope you will enjoy your times at Oyate. We all work very hard to share and help others. It's what we do here. If that upsets you, we are sorry, but we will continue to do so. Always.
