kathryno9, I do find the John K. Bear you mentioned on the Elrod roll. He is roughly 19 years younger than John Bear and listed there with his wife Ida. I know very little about this family. Maybe he was a son of John Bear the elder? Hopefully, someone will come along with the information you seek. I'll keep looking though. I only find John the elder on one Federal census, so maybe the SW Indian censuses schedules at ancestry.com would be more helpful?
