Do you have an approximate year of birth? parents' names? location? I know that the Dion/Nion/Dyomme/Young name came out of Canada originally. A.D.Young, husband of Harriet Campbell, stands for Alexande Dyomme Young.

peacekeeper, that's interesting news. Isn't A.D. Young & Harriett Campbell the parents of Emma Redowl? Or is it Benjamin Young, son of A.D. and Harriett?

I heard that there were some records that were destroyed in a fire so alot of the older ones arent available for the episcopal church there, but I know my grandpa was baptized at St James Enemy Swim in 1918 and he was able to get a copy of it but unfortunately that was from Augustana Western Studies... (sigh) When will that all end and we have access to them again? Does anyone know exactly what Wicanhpi Research has?

Tamara, Minnesota has the digital records that are listed here. www.wambdimoni.com/dakota_church_records/There are also some Iape Oaye transcripts floating around that list many baptisms. Another source is the Sioux Valley Genealogy Society, located in the old courthouse in Sioux Falls. They have some good microfilm too. You can also get microfilm through the Latter Day Saints, or MNHS. MNHS also has many church records. Jackie
