I made a comment on the Black Hawk Flies Away Finley Flute Hillers Weston Chinn Family Tree and requested that they give a source for this photo. So we will see.

Are you the Valari92 who is the owner of the tree Black hawk flies away....et al? Do you own that tree? I have searched ancestry and I left a comment for a source of the picture on the Hauer Guzinski (Guss) Lewandowki Family Tree, if that is where you got it from . Why would you display a pic that you are doubtful of so that others will copy the doubtful pic and add it to their tree. A professional would find out the source first before displaying wrong information or pictures so that in the end so many people will swear this is John Flute simply because you displayed.
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it." Joseph Goebbels I have seen this happen on this website. Historically, long before we were born misinformation was perpetrated perhaps erroneously, and the misinformation continues to this day, just because it was repeated over and over again.
I hope the people you messaged will get back to you. If they don't it is because they do not know about this pic either. LOL

First yes the family tree is mine. Second there was a response but unfortunately i no longer have a membership to ancestry so i cannot message anyone.
Third I'm not sure if you're asking me why i posted the picture or why that person would? I know my reason. I wanted to know if anyone could confirm it. I've discovered a couple mistakes in my family tree so far and i Will keep trying to fix any mistakes I find. I want it to be as accurate as it can be.
I don't believe in "living a lie."
In the end i hope i find the truth. Good or bad. I would just like an answer.
Its frustrating.
Ok i just looked up the lady who shared the pic originally. Her name on ancestry is cathrinehelcl to the snyder-Quinn family tree.
Unfortunately i wont be able to message her.

Valari: If it was a Public Tree, then I don't see why anyone would raise a flap about you posting the photo.

Valari you got the answer, yes? Did they give you a source or reference. You do not say how you definitively know it is John Flute. I am interested that's all as the Flute family in part of my Yankton Sioux genealogy research. For the past eight years, I have been researching the earliest known Yankton Sioux families, the Flutes are among them.
