Kdokdiyaku Warpesa is spelled in the Yankton dialect. Kdokdi = bring back home; yaku = you come back; Warpe (wahpe) = tree leaf Sa= the color red. Sounds more like a fragment of a sentence. Red Leaf you are coming back home with something. Kdo = grunting. I don't know how I came up with the former 6/22 translation - bad day ha-ha.
Tasinasnawin = Her Rattling or Tinkling Blanket Woman. Ta= him or her; Sina = blanket, robe; Sna = rattle, ring; Win (yan)= woman. Regards, Louie

the word duta means scarlet or red i'm sorry i couldn't find the rest of Samuel's name. there is no "j" in dakota language. I was able to translat dina's indian name: wazi means pine, na means little, so her dakota nmae is Little Pine.
