Greetings cousins,
Tom at the Knox County site
has brought to my attention the following:
The listings for the Santee Catholic Cemetery on their site also contain listings of persons buried at Our Most Merciful Savior Episcopal. Jimmy tells me that these are actually two adjoining cemeteries divided only by a small wire fence which is hard to find, and there are no signs indicating which cemetery is which.
There are separate listings for the Catholic cemetery and OMMS at the santeecemetery.com site. These listings come directly from the cemetery board records and will be reliable.
I have transcribed all of the burials in the Santee Episcopal Mission, Book 1 and have noted these graves which are located at OMMS.
Note that the locations in the Mission book are not specific as to location from 1875 until 1887, simply listing burial at Santee Agency or Our Blessed Redeemer.
I will post the complete burial transcription in the Santee Mission, Book 1 thread.
