Iwonderif Washo may be a mis translation of Wasu which means hailor Stone. I am notsure about the last part though.

Does anyone know what the translation of Washo Shay is? Thanks for your help. Lavanah There is a term in the Ponca language that is spelled "washushe" (wah-SHOO-shay) which means "brave" or "courageous".

Wasose means to be mixed together. We find this word most often in Minisose (water mixed with silt) the Dakota/Lakota name of the Missouri River. The term is also found in describing a battle where everyone is mixed together. Later, Louie
