Looking for 1800's baptism records from Ft Peck, probably Episcopal, to find Lambert children and parents.

Good evening Waterlily. Fort Peck was established in the late 1800s. Can you give us more information, dates, names etc. place of origination? Based on your request I believe the first records would be found in Minnesota. See what you can gather, including if you know what affiliation the family was. We have many census and church records throughout Oyate.

waterliluy: If i understand the Lambert family history, the children were bornin Canada, and settled in South Dakota around the 1850's. You may be barking up the wrongtrail. Try the Canadian Archives I may also be thinking about another bunch of Lamberts also. first see if thereis anything in the church Records here at Oyate. Vicky has posted the paes from the book the Teepee and The church which has the early records of the Catholic Missionarys who may have beenin that region. some Lamberts settled on and near the yankton Reservation. Others settled on the Crow Creek Reservation. so check out the censues also at Oyate.
