The first link is her Husbands " Loise's Family I think but really has no information on her - Muzanakawin (Full Blood Mdewakanton) Married Louise Lablanc/Provencal/Carboneau dit Provincial, also known as LA BLANC "skadan" or "little white". NoN-indian (French).. Louise was born circa 1770 and died in Mendota Minn. Feb 17th 1851. They had many children - Louise Jr. b. April 18th 1814, murdered 1838 on the upper missouri river, Employee of American fur Co. - Antoine b. Dec 12th 1816, - Archange b. Oct. 29th 1818, - Joseph b. Dec 22nd 1819, - My Great Great Great G-pa - George b. circa 1820 died in the war at the Second Battle of New Ulm Minn. -Thomas b circa 1822 I think this is the same Thomas that was a scout at Sisseton but not sure. -Angelique b. circa 1834 That is all i have on Muzanakawin, Most if not all the info is on her children.. Muzanakawin's cousin was Chief Grey Cloud -Brad

If ya did that would be GREATLY apreciated! so do u think the u after m was just a mispelling??? Absolutely! It was probably mis-transcribed from a lower case "a" which was not closed at the top. That would look just like a "u".

WoW!!!! yes ALL that information is so helpful i just keep thinkin about how it was for him.. he was pretty old "Louis" in 1851.. and to find out the vicinity of Mazanakawins Grave! OMG that is too bad about the grave robbers.. I wonder what exactly is left of the area today.. theres gotta be some kind of sign that there is a cemetary there.. even if they were robbed.. hmm WoW i can't get over how long he lived even going through all of that! the deaths of his sons, and wife or wives. Even though he didn't live to see the 1862 fiasco.. he did see alot.. The Provencalles and later on Leblancs.. sure do have a woven history.. of marriages, kids, deaths, moving, and changing of names.. So if two of Louis's sons were killed in 1843 and 1844.. and remember Louis Jr. was killed in 1838.. so thats at least three sons killed then that leaves Joseph as the oldest.. and then his younger brother "George" later killed in New Ulm in 1867 that leaves only two of Louis sons alive Joseph and Thomas.. hmmm on another note- Louis died in 1851 right. i wonder if the signing of the treaty had anything to do with it, they woulda had to move from traverse des Sioux right?......... where is the Location OF Traverse des Sioux? hmmmm just got me asking more and more haha its alot to digest -B Thank you again for your info!!. THIS is GREATLY apreciated..
