Does anyone have records on the "Moscow Expedition" ?
A soldier in the 6th Minnesota Regiment kept a journal on the "Moscow Expedition" It says... The guard of the Dakota Prisoners from Ft Snelling to Crow Creek in 1863.
I am gathering from History of the Santee Sioux that this was a supply expedition. But with the soldier stating there were prisoners on the expedition I wonder if there is a list of them somewhere.
Its in MNHS archives. has this been published or is it online somewhere?
Anyone close to MNHS that could go copy it? It is listed under... Case, George Emanual & family papers.
Thank-you in advance for your help. Sara

Sarah, Have you checked the History of Minnesota volume II? It has about two pages on the subject. HOWEVER it has reference sources. This might help you. Tammy
