I also have a probate for August Trudell (1852-1914). This is not the official probate, but the information that was printed in the newspaper concerning his estate. It lists all of his heirs.

I am mainly just researching my own family (the Trudells) but these are probates that relatives have given me. I save them even if they are not relatives. I live in Tennessee, so I don't have access to any probates. I would suggest putting a request on this board for the specific probates you are looking for (at least the specific family), maybe somebody has what you need.

hi. you can also go to the baptismal request and let us know what you need. make sure to give us names, dob, dod, place of birth, whatever info you have. there are many here that will help you if possible. that is wha this web site has been created for.

OK here are some of the probates that my mother and i have been able to come across and copy if you would like any let us know, Like i said we can't copy them and mail them but we can defintely fax them to you and like i said everything we copied was on legal size paper cause we got them from the national archives and that is standard size copy paper there so keep that in mind when we fax them, then the reproduced at the national archives should show up.

I agree wazi I hope people would only ask if they really needed it , most the probates i have don't pertain to me but we made a special trip to washington DC twice to look for information on our family and when we came across some of these things it was just too good to pass up i know someone out there needs it and i know that it is hard to make the time and money to go , we are all striving for the same goal and we need to help each other.

You need to show that youare adescendent of these people before you will get any probates ferom the BIA Offices at any of the Indian Agencies.
I believe the same goes for those generous Angels out there whoare willing to share records. there are toomany shysters out there at this pointin the game trying to make a fast buckwith probates,etc.

I know you know this already but I am ssoooo intriqued by your family!! lol I might not be able to get you the probates (I will try to see who might have some of them) but I can tell you what I can see on each of the names. Such as known children or other relatives. I am awed by the list of names on her land description... many sisseton family names. CankuWanjidan or One Road. Julia LaFromboise.. all interesting names. I will see if I can at least get the descendant information from some people who I know descend from these persons.

a very knowledgable woman recently told me that the Cepkawin that you are looking for is also known as Lydia BlueCloud. Some of the other names that were mentioned were Hapan.
