Hi ~ I went to DC this last summer. When I asked for "probate" papers, they acted like they didn't know what I was asking for. I then found information called "heirship papers". These were the actual probates that the BIA has. So, they do have the probates for all tribes in South Dakota. ~ Hawkgirl

Tamara, Hermin, Vicky; I googled Tamahpiyahotanka and our site poped up. I am replying to a discussion from 2006. There was a man by this named suppositly killed at the battle of woodlake in 1862. The only other person I knew of who had this name was Edward Robertson, The Veblin VFW is named after him. I would appreciate any information. Another note: at the top of this thread is a list of names. Suna Waanatan (itkowicakipi (He met them) is the son of Waanatan 2, on the list above him is Caske Waanatan an adoped son of Waanatan, both are Spirit Lake enrollees. Louie Garcia
Following is a list of the names which were included on the pages I ordered. If anyone is interested in seeing any of them, just give me a holler! Forgive my spelling, some are almost impossible to make out-
