hello, if you have been turned down by the current lawyers but you can show the link to a scout or the mclaughlin roll then send your documentation and a letter as to why you are so late getting your information in to:
United States Court of Federal Claims 717 Madison Place N.W., Room 103 Washington, D.C.20005. at the bottom of envelope print Wolfchild Lawsuit.
Do not send to E. Casaday. Mrs. Fran Felix paved the way for us to send it directly to the Judge Lettow. He will then see how many of us who are descendants but their censuses are to narrow a field. may help the Judge to include the other lists. Don't waste time . send before Nov.

there may be a new developement on the issue of late filers. Do not allow any false expectation if you or your family missed the July 12th deadline, but some of the lawyers that are concerned with inclusiviness, versus exclusiviness, may have some recent information for those that missed the deadline for whatever reason. Do not take this statement as any verifiable means of an actual extension of receiving late lineal descendancy filings, but only as a possibility in the realm of what the court may accept as good cause in light of the individual circumstances that many people and their families may need. Do not take this as a guarantee, but only a hopeful idea. It still remains that if you missed the July 12 deadline, you do have to have a good reason for not submitting a motion to intervene by that date.
If it were up to us, all and any rightful lineal descendants should absolutely be included in all that matters. The problem exists in the passive inactive individuals that know what is happening and do nothing to try. The weight of ancestral responsibility to pursue and ultimately discover who our individual anscestors are, is a huge incentive for many of us that have been involved to this point. If you and your family are not willing to work individually to search, discover, and learn about your own individual anscestral link to our anscestors in the Minnesota case, then do not expect those people that you think may help, to do all the work for you or your family. Actually if it comes down to an issue of importance, this case is a true test of all of us individually, and a call to action, to the extent that it is unacceptable for each and every one of us who has legs, arms, hearts and minds, to sit back, and wait for others to do it for us, in that search for the truth. If you, individually, are not willing to do everything that you can physically, financially, mentally or otherwise, then you cannot sit back and complain that your relatives or those that take the initiative, have been unsuccessful in making your linkage, if that be the case, you have only yourself to blame. Do not rely upon others to do your work. Take the issue upon yourself. That, is the way that I have always been taught, that the anscestors viewed things. Should we be any less in the modern day? Take care.

HI Jazzdog, this is so very true, it is so important for family members to work together. We learned that each individual working in different areas can obtain valuable documents in short time. My cousin and I are the main ones and keep all the documents on the computer and in paper form. But give assignments to other family members that are capable to doing research and paying for things. One of my male cousins researched our GGGrandfather's military discharge papers and located them, and he was born in Yellow Medicine, MN. This was a great find for us. Later! derockbraine1

Tamera
your thanks are always appreciated.....but the message is meant to alert all that have not officially tried to join the lawsuit formally, and to encourage those that have intervened and need additional information to prove their lineal descendancy in the eyes of the court. take care and watch your back. I do want to thank you and jaimie and the whole staff at this time for keeping the word open.
