Little Short Horn, 1858 (Sisseton). Click here to view pics or images
Does anyone have info on this Sisseton after 1862? Hehutedan is how they spelled it on his photo taken in 1858. Thanks, Sara

Hi Sara, I find nothing even close at SW. Perhaps he took an English name? The link does not work. Is it just me? :-( I'll do some digging, Vicky

Ha-hu-ta-nai, (The Stumpy Horn,) his x mark. [SEAL.]
Maybe this is the same person. This is how it is on the 1858 treaty.
Possibly the photographer has the wrong spelling.
The link I had posted was from a previous posting that someone else did. Sorry,
Sara

Thanks Sara. There is no one by that name, or anything even close, at Sisseton from 1875 to 1891. My guess- 1. He fled to Canada 2. He died 3. He took a new name
Try this when posting links of others. If you have the "powers" (are a moderator) click on "modify" for that post and copy the link from there. It should work. Or, open the link and copy and paste the address of that photo/ document. That should work, too.
Thanks, Vicky
