Researcers: I found a neat web site that appears to have all the cemeteriesin south Dakota that were canvassed by the WPA during the depression. type the following into your browser at google: The Cemetery Register: South Dakota Cemetery Records there are more than 20 pages of Cemeteries listed with links to the listings for each cemetery.

Dear vicky: thanks much for your help. when you get to this website, you find and select the tombstone transcription Project. then select south dakota. ou willthenfind an alphabetical listing of each county with the links to the cemeteries that ave been transcribed in each county. You will find a n alphabetical listing

WPA rsearch into South Dakota cemeteries are listed at the website of the South Dakota State historical Society at history.sd.gov/ click on archives, then follow the leads to the cemetery index.
